Short Biographical
details
Paul Cartledge is Professor of Greek History at the University of Cambridge and a Fellow of Clare College. He has written and edited over 20 books, including "Alexander the Great: the Hunt for a New Past" (Macmillan, 2004); translated into Greek as
"Μέγας Αλέξανδρος.
Η αναζήτηση ενός νέου παρελθόντος" (Εκδόσεις Λιβάνη, 2005).
He has been awarded the Gold Cross of the Order of Honour by the President of the Hellenic Republic, and is an Honorary citizen of Sparta (really!).
